Pathways to QG-phenomenology: holography, overlapping degrees-of-freedom and random matrix Hamiltonians, Dr. Oliver Friedrich (LMU Sternwarte)
In this talk I will discuss our efforts to build quantum field theories that adhere to conjectured properties of quantum gravity such as holographic entropy bounds. In particular, I will present the results of https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.11016 where we built a holographic Fermion field and use it to confront the holographic principle with cosmic neutrino observations. And I will briefly summarise our attempts to generalise this to bosonic fields (based on https://arxiv.org/abs/2201.08405 and Kushwaha et al. in prep). I will close by discussing how a number of peculiar features of our holographic field theories can arise in the context of quantum mereology.
